Join us on January 11, 2024, at 9:00 am ET / 2:00 pm GMT / 7:30 pm IST for a session of "Feminist Economics 101." Diane Elson, Emeritus Professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Essex and Chair of the UK Women’s Budget Group, will be interviewed by Muzna Alvi, a Research Fellow at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) in New Delhi. Together, they will unpack gender budgeting, gender-sensitive policy, and discuss exploring new frontiers amidst persistent challenges.

Feminist Economics 101 online events are one-hour sessions featuring interviews of senior scholars by young or early career scholars about their work and key concepts in feminist economics. This series was developed to provide an interactive dialogue between young and senior scholars. It is an important venue to explore core concepts/issues/frameworks in feminist economics and the methodological differences from mainstream economics with experts in the field, with a view to empowering young scholars in their work.
