IAFFE Feminist Economics School The IAFFE Feminist Economics School school is designed to bring together approximately 30 early career scholars, practitioners, activists, and policymakers engaged in research and action related to issues of concern to feminist economics, but who have had little or no formal access to training in feminist economics. In order to apply, applicants should have either (a) completed an undergraduate program of study or equivalent in order to apply or (b) have 5 years work experience in areas addressing feminist economics issues.

IAFFE FE School 2025 Application The IAFFE school is designed to bring together approximately 30 early career scholars, practitioners, activists, and policymakers engaged in research and action related to issues of concern to feminist economics, but who have had little or no formal access to training in feminist economics. The IAFFE school will be held from June 30th to July 2nd and will consist of two and a half days of workshops that provide participants with a grounding in key aspects of feminist economics thinking, methodologies, and policy applications through reflection on their own practices and experiences. The IAFFE 2025 school will be held at the University of Massachusetts - Amherst in the United States and we encourage applicants from indigenous communities worldwide and marginalized and minority groups in the Americas to apply. There is no participation fee in the IAFFE school and travel grants are available to participants. Successful applicants will be asked to pay a refundable conference registration fee to secure their place in the IAFFE School. Basic English language skills would be necessary to participate. Participants are expected to attend the IAFFE annual conference and pre-conference workshop immediately after the IAFFE school (July 3rd – 5th). If you are accepted into the IAFFE School, you will be eligible for grant funding for airfare, shared accommodation, and conference fees covering the IAFFE School and participation in the IAFFE conference. Meals and local transportation will be provided during the IAFFE school. There will be a need to cover some meal expenses during the IAFFE pre-conference and conference. Individuals who have already applied for an IAFFE conference travel grant are eligible to apply for the IAFFE School. Applications will no longer be accepted after October 28th, 2024. Our 2nd Feminist Economics School, held on July 1-2, 2024, brought together 30 participants from 19 countries for an introductory exploration of Feminist Economics. Over the one-and-a-half days of workshops organized by facilitators Kate Bahn, Stefania Marchina, and Luiza Pires, with the support of James Heintz and the Feminist Economics School Committee, participants gained a grounding in key aspects of feminist economics thinking, methodologies, and policy applications through reflection on their own practices and experiences.
The IAFFE School in Feminist Economics was held in Cape Town, South Africa, on 4-5 July 2023.
